Ambrose Rypczynski founded the Valley Dairy then sold it to the Coyle Brothers in 1907 and started the City Grocery and Market at 429 S Ninth, called Ryp's Grocery for short. He retired from it in 1930; the store later became the Ninth Street Market. Photos courtesy of the Red Golden family.
