Whitman Centennial parades, August 12-16, 1936. Wednesday was kids' Pets & Dolls parade. Thursday was Marcus Whitman day. Friday was Narcissa's day as Pioneer Mother. Saturday was a re-run of many of those plus several more. Each parade started at 1:30pm .
Over 50 floats entered for prizes, several from other towns,
Minnetonka - the first Northern Pacific locomotive
Pet and Doll parade expected 1500 children to enter; prizes were given.
