Joso - Union Pacific Railroad high bridge near Lyon's Ferry, ca1968 after the new concrete footings installed for the raising of the lake behind Lower Monumental Dam.

Lyons Ferry over the Snake River operated for 108 years before closing in 1968.

Notice the bridge footings have been built up to ready for the water backup behind the dam opening soon. This would be a 1968 photo close to the last crossing before the ferry was retired.
