Fritz Bade opened his Shoe Service business in 1892 in the Payne-Jaycox Building at 14 N. 2nd. Brother Herman joined him sometime later. They moved the business to College Place about 1931 possibly after the Big Flood. Photos courtesy of Lori Vincent and Helen Roloff Adams.
